Many tourists ask what they can get from Belarus.
Of course Belarus is not a country where grand shopping could be made, where you can buy international brand clothes. But nevertheless everybody can purchase many original souvenirs, which would remind you about you journey to this interesting county.
We advice you to taste chocolate from Kammunarka Chocolate Factory, which is being produced according to old soviet receipts not forgetting about novelties and product range renewals. There are a lot of its original packages of different sizes and colors. It would be a good idea to present a bottle of Belarusian vodka to any man. There are a lot of shops where anyone can purchase nicely packed product at a reasonable price and of high quality!
It would be very original to buy linen goods. Linen is cotton of Northern countries (this is depicted on Belarusian coat of arm). For instance you could buy: towels, tablecloths, napkins, T-shirts, suits and so on. By the way, go with the flow! Try to be a real Belarusian and put on an embroidered T-shirt.
If you are not a very big fan of linen, but you are looking for an original gift, it will be a good idea to buy a doll wearing national suit or with inscriptions like “Welcome to Belarus” or “Welcome to Minsk”. Such nice souvenirs could be found only in Belarus, so we can say it with pride that they are one of Belarusian symbols.
You can also buy different things made of clay: from mugs with inscriptions “I love Belarus” till small bells and small sculptures. In the Trinity suburb you can buy original candlesticks in shape of clay houses like were being built in old Minsk previously. Light a candle, put it inside of a house and a small part of Belarusian warmth will bear you a company during long winter evenings.
Different souvenirs made of wood are also popular: spoons, dolls, carved boxes, baskets, plates with images of Minsk and Belarus sightseeing and many others.
Don’t remain without attention even collectors. During Minsk city tours it is possible to widen collections of thimbles, coat of arms, badges, bells and many others. Itisimpossibletonameeverything!
And if you don’t like souvenirs at all, a small magnet bought in a shop in Minsk Trinity Suburb with an image of a stork will remind you about such a warm Northern country in the center of Europe like Belarus.
